This statement is to counter any concerns you may have over our continuity of operations and logistics during the ongoing Corona virus pandemic and to give reassurance of how we in Danimex are effectively dealing with the issue.
Danimex Communication, as well as our subsidiaries Danimex South Africa and Danimex Middle East, will follow the advice and instructions from local authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Staff working onsite and from home
To counter the potential spread of the virus, most of our staff are now working from home. While working from home they will all have full access to their emails, our support system and our ERP system and all desk phones have been forwarded to their respective mobile phones. Those required to continue their work at our head offices (mainly workshop, shipping and warehousing) have been separated into individual offices and some are separated by working either day or evening shift.
Travel
As you may have heard, borders internally in Europe, including the Danish one, are now being closed. The borders are permitted to allow the passage of shipped goods and employees residing in one country but working in another. Business critical travel will still be approved by the authorities on a case-by-case basis.
Trainings and support
All scheduled training courses will be postponed until further notice. However, in the meantime we are looking at setting up online training and webinars to support you. More info will follow on our webpage.
During the current travel ban, our support system (support@danimex.com) will run as usual and our technical staff will be ready to support you remotely on any technical questions regarding products.
Shipment of goods and stock status
We have been informed that we may encounter higher costs on shipments due to this extraordinary situation, we may have to increase invoiceable costs accordingly to our customers. If so, we will discuss available options with those involved to try and find the best solution together.
Secure communication is maybe even more important today than it was yesterday and there is a possibility that you will see an increased demand from your customers. We will make sure we keep our warehouses full to support you. In parallel, we urge you to consider increasing your local stock in readiness for any potential delays on shipments, especially on non-standard items or if demands should suddenly increase.
