Channel account manager, Africa


Danimex Communication A/S is looking for an ambitious Channel Account Manager for our African sales team. The right candidate will have a combined role between Channel Account Management, sales and business development activities and a long-term regional growth objective for a range of selected countries and customers (resellers) in Africa.

Danimex Communication A/S is a value added and authorised Motorola Distributor and System Integrator in EMEA working within the field of critical radio and broadband communication solutions. 

For more than 30 years Danimex has supplied professional radio resellers, security companies, humanitarian organisations, NGO’s, defense, governmental organisations as well as modern industrial customers with advanced radio network solutions customised for different purposes. 

The core expertise of Danimex as system Integrator and supplier of two-way radio solutions is to design and build radio-based digital networks incl. 3rd party products such as handhelds, mobiles, applications and services for both mission and business critical purposes. Amongst the wireless and radio technologies that Danimex has specialised itself within over the years are conventional radio systems, analogue systems, analogue trunked solutions, satellite solutions, DMR, TETRA, PoC and P2P microwave solutions. 

Danimex is also in many projects acting as a consultant and advisor supporting our customers make the right decisions in an early stage of the process due to our field experience, system integration capabilities and deep application knowledge. In addition, Danimex also provides consultancy and competence building services for a wide range of radio and wireless technologies via its own academy program. 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual business plan for own Market Area and assigned customer base
  • Coordinate Danimex’s Sales and Marketing activities with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Execution of specific business development initiatives to support Danimex’s growth plans
  • Expand and enhance Danimex’s reseller network 
  • Contribute to Danimex’ general business development activities
  • On request attend and provide input for strategy discussions regarding own area or specific business cases


Professional qualifications

  • Commercial background at a high level (Bachelor’s in business administration as a minimum) 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with international sales, experience from sales in Africa is an advantage 
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining close customer relationships
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills 
  • English and French at a negotiation level is a must, other languages are an advantage 
  • Ability to follow up on sales leads and ensure a successful closure (having a hunter mindset) 
  • Technical flair and interest in wireless technology and IT. Background from the radio industry is a clear advantage
  • An experienced traveller being good at communicating with different cultures. Experience from Africa is an advantage

You may expect travel activities of approximately 60 – 80 days a year (Subject to COVID-19 sanctions lift off)
