Channel Account Manager, East Africa and Nigeria

 

Danimex Communication A/S is looking for an ambitious Channel Account Manager for our African sales team. The right candidate will have a combined role between Channel Account Management and Business Development activities supporting our long-term growth objective for a range of selected focus countries and costumers (resellers) in East Africa and Nigeria.

The role shall be based in East Africa, Kenya and report to the VP of Sales, Africa in Denmark, Sønderborg (HQ).

For more than 30 years Danimex has supplied professional radio resellers, security companies, humanitarian organizations, NGO’s, defense, governmental organizations as well as modern industrial customers with advanced radio network solutions customized for different purposes.

The core expertise of Danimex as system Integrator and supplier of 2-way radio solutions is to design and build radio-based digital networks incl. 3rd party products such as handhelds, mobiles, applications and services for both mission and business critical purposes. Amongst the wireless and radio technologies that Danimex has specialized itself within over the years are conventional radio systems, analogue systems, analogue trunked solutions, satellite solutions, DMR, TETRA, PoC and P2P microwave solutions.

Danimex is in many projects acting as a consultant and advisor supporting our customers make the right decisions in an early stage of the process due to our field experience, system integration capabilities and deep application knowledge. In addition, Danimex also provides consultancy and competence building services for a wide range of radio and wireless technologies via its own academy program.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual business plan for own Market Area and assigned customer base
  • Coordinate Danimexs Sales and Marketing activities with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Execution of specific business development initiatives to support Danimexs growth plans
  • Expand and enhance Danimexs reseller network
  • Contribute to Danimex’ general business development activities
  • On request attend and provide input for strategy discussions regarding own area or specific business cases

 

Professional qualifications

  • Commercial background at a high level (Bachelor’s in business administration as a minimum)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with international sales, experience from sales in East Africa and Nigeria is an advantage
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining close customer relationships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • English at a negotiation level is a must, French or Arabic as second language is a clear advantage
  • Ability to follow up on sales leads and ensure a successful closure (having a hunter mindset)
  • Technical flair and interest in wireless technology and IT. Background from the radio industry is a clear advantage
  • An experienced traveler being good at communicating with different cultures across East and West Africa

You may expect travel activities of app. 60-80 days yearly. We expect you to be able to travel across East and West Africa without limitations. (Subject to COVID-19 sanctions lift off)

Workplace: Workplace will be based in East Africa, Kenya. Further conditions shall be agreed at the time of signing the agreement.
